Our Pectus Association - Chest Wall Deformities and Pectus Association, established for pectus patients and their relatives, is now 7 (seven) years old. It was founded on May 26, 2017 by Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Mustafa YÜKSEL along with nearly 60 doctors and patient relatives. Our founding and honorary president Prof. Dr. Mustafa YÜKSEL served two terms as president, and as of June 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nezih Onur ERMERAK was elected as the new president.
The association continues its activities with the aims of providing patients with congenital chest wall deformities the most appropriate treatment method in the easiest way possible, introducing pectus to raise awareness. Our most important goal is to treat pectus disease, which is little known but frequently seen, through early diagnosis and ideal methods, to share current information, and to "Become the Memory of Pectus".
